Atlas Lens Co. SIRIUS at NAB 2023 4/18/2023, 12:00:00 AM

April Fool's Day was the date chosen to introduce a new series of anamorphic lenses from Atlas Lens Co. 

 A "suspicious" day to say the least, also reinforced by the technical information on the lenses: 

"Pleasant distortion, beautiful round bokeh, and dynamic spherical aberration with the added benefits of zero mumping, excellent close-focus, without any of the distracting streak flares,” 

There are many things that should be brought to your attention. For starters, a 1.0x anamorphic doesn't make sense or talk about "nice chromatic aberrations". 

We took it for granted that it was a joke, very well executed thanks to all the content generated in their networks and the presentation videos (If you haven't seen them yet, they are not to be missed...). However, at NAB we have been surprised... This lens is REAL! 

We have been able to hold it in our hands and even test it in camera... What do you think? Will they go ahead with a joke that is going too far? Place your bets!
