This series is compact, sharp, optimized for distortion correction, and full of character. Anamorphic lenses are renowned for their character, especially their flares, which cinematographers love. We’ve tested extensively to achieve desirable flares with different coatings.

A key feature is the anti-mump system created in 1954 by Mr. Gottschalk from Panavision. It allows the image to stretch vertically while keeping the horizontal axis locked during focusing, enhancing image stability.

Our lenses are smaller and lighter than front variable diopter designs, reducing chromatic aberrations and improving light transmission. They are perfect for steadicams, gimbals, handheld, and drone use.

We’ve also improved the original Gottschalk design to allow focusing closer than 1 foot, which is exceptional even for spherical lenses. The cam-based focus ring mechanics ensure smooth operation with a 270° rotation and a 0.8 standard pitch for both focus and aperture rings. All Apollo series lenses feature 14 round-blade circular apertures.

The Apollo lenses’ colors—white, red, and black—reflect their namesake, Apollo, and they look stunning.
