The Arles Prime lens series by DZOFILM is named after Arles, a town in southern France that inspired Vincent van Gogh with its abundant sunlight and vibrant colors. With fast T1.4 apertures, these lenses capture the interplay of light and shadow, enhancing artistic expression and cinematic creativity.

High Speed and Visual Quality

With an ultra-wide T1.4 aperture, the Arles Prime lenses excel in low-light and complex shooting conditions, offering a dreamy shallow depth of field that highlights every narrative detail. They ensure even brightness transitions and support high frame rate shooting without compromising image quality.

Precision and Clarity

Using advanced multi-layer nano-coating and sandblasting and anodizing techniques, these lenses minimize reflections and stray light, delivering clean, sharp images even in direct light. Color temperatures remain consistent around 5000K, reproducing vivid, true-to-life colors.

Cinematic Depth and Bokeh

Featuring 16 aperture blades, the lenses provide smooth circular bokeh and seamless transitions between focused and unfocused areas. Floating lens elements minimize aberrations during focus transitions, enhancing optical performance and emotional immersion.

Exquisite Optics and Superior Performance

With aspherical elements and precise manufacturing, the Arles Prime lenses correct aberrations and distortions while maintaining a lightweight, compact form. Low-dispersion optical materials suppress chromatic aberration, ensuring exceptional optical performance for high-end cinematography.

Serie: DZOFILM ARLES

I had an incredible opportunity to shoot the 100mm showcase for the DZO Arles Primes last month on an Arri Alexa LF! 🎥✨. To me, a large part of what sets the DZO Arles Primes apart is their ability to achieve an IMAX-like depth of field at T/1.4 while shooting on the LF sensor in open gate mode. The combination of the Arri Alexa LF and these lenses allows for a depth of field comparable to that of large format lenses used on 65mm cameras, but with the added benefit of a faster T-stop. Yes, there are a few full-frame lenses out there that can achieve this T-stop, but I find that the Arles Primes perform incredibly well wide open and maintain a sharp yet pleasing painterly quality without being sterile. I'm ordering a set and feel like these lenses will be a vital part of my creative toolkit moving forward. The T-Stop info is in the bottom left corner.
